CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Construction on the future restaurant space at Bob Hall Pier is ramping up next week, bringing a brief but notable closure to the popular waterfront landmark.

Nueces County Coastal Parks Director Scott Cross said crews will use a crane to set concrete panels at the restaurant site beginning Tuesday, March 31st, at 7 a.m.

The work is expected to take approximately three hours, wrapping up around 10 a.m.

During that window, the pier will be fully closed as a safety precaution. No one will be permitted to enter or exit the pier while work is underway, according to Cross.

Officials are warning that fishermen who arrive before the 7 a.m. start time could be stuck on the pier until the work is completed.
