HARRIS COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a man was found dead in his home in northwest Harris County, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

At least one family member of the homeowner arrived at the residence located in the 5800 block of Lundwood Lane on Wednesday to check on him, then called 911, HCSO said.

Shortly after arriving, deputies, along with at least one family member, entered the home and found the 45-year-old man dead, according to HCSO.

The nephew of the victim told deputies that he called 911 after he found signs of forced entry at the home.

The sheriff’s office confirmed that their homicide unit is investigating the case, but they have not issued a specific cause of death.

Neighbors expressed shock to ABC13 when reacting to the incident.

“You know, all the time it’s pretty quiet. We don’t really get any action, to be honest, and by action, I mean anything like this,” Pattcy said.

Investigators have not released the man’s identity to the public.
