EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — An El Paso wrestling gym became the backdrop this week for a new WWE-linked streetwear tribute to one of the city’s most celebrated sports figures, Eddie Guerrero.

Pro Wrestling Legacy hosted an exclusive video production on Thursday as clothing brand Civil Regime collaborates with WWE on a limited-edition tribute T-shirt honoring the WWE Hall of Famer and El Paso native.

The shoot featured Sherilyn Guerrero, Eddie Guerrero’s daughter, and is expected to incorporate elements of El Paso’s identity, including participation from local lowrider car clubs. Members of El Paso City Council have also been invited to attend in recognition of Guerrero’s continued influence in the community.

I am here in El Paso at the amazing PWL, if I may add, to do a collaboration with Civil Regime,” Sherilyn Guerrero said. “They are highlighting amazing shirts of my dad with WWE for WrestleMania.

Guerrero, remembered for his charisma and technical skill and for the phrase “Viva La Raza,” remains a point of pride for many in El Paso and for wrestling fans worldwide.

“It’s a drop that means so dear to me, and the collaboration in itself is so amazing to have,” Sherilyn Guerrero said. “And that’s why I’m here. We’re going to show some of El Paso and show the great community.”

The apparel collaboration is expected to launch near WrestleMania weekend, around April 17.

“To have this collaboration with Civil Regime and it being a WWU collection means the world to me,” Sherilyn Guerrero said. “Not only is my site set to be in WWU one day, but the honoring of my father is truly indefinite and something that I am honored to be here and represent as the third generation ghetto.”

She also noted a recent visit to the city tied to her father’s legacy.

“We were just here November 18th for Eddie Guerrero Day and to be back and continue this journey has truly been a blessing,” she said.
