ARLINGTON, Texas — The Arlington Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 20-year-old man dead early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a reported shooting at approximately 1:24 a.m. in a convenience store parking lot on the 2100 block of E. Abram Street, according to a press release from the Arlington Police Department. Upon arrival, they found the victim unresponsive with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No arrests have been made, and detectives are examining whether the incident may be connected to high-risk activity, though the circumstances remain under investigation, stated the source.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased.
