More than 1,000 people gathered in front of Houston’s City Hall on Saturday to protest President Donald Trump for the third No Kings rally since he was inaugurated last year.
Protesters gathered to listen to a lineup of activist speakers while holding signs denouncing varied actions by the Trump administration, from its immigration policy to the Iran war.
At one end of the square, protesters added their signatures to a supersize fabric mural of the U.S. Constitution. Tents from advocacy organizations and unions lined the plaza’s perimeter.
Houston’s rally is one of hundreds of No Kings protests across the region and nation that were expected to attract millions of marchers. The last No Kings march, in October, brought thousands of marchers to City Hall.
