PEARSALL, Texas – A domestic disturbance ended with two people hospitalized with gunshot wounds, and one person of interest in custody.
Around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Officers with the Pearsall Police Department responded to calls of a reported shooting at an address along W Blas Street.
When police arrived, they found a man and a woman, both with gunshot wounds. Both the man, who is in critical condition, and the woman, who was in non-life-threatening condition, were flown to hospitals in San Antonio for treatment.
Police say that one person of interest has been detained for questioning, but has not been identified as a suspect.
Officers also identified the male victim as a potential person of interest, but have not identified him as a potential suspect.
The Pearsall Police Department is still working to determine what led up to the shooting, but has said the shooting is a result of a domestic disturbance
