AUSTIN (KXAN) — After hammering Oklahoma 14-0 in the series opener Thursday, the Texas baseball team completed its first Southeastern Conference sweep of the season with a pair of walk-off, extra-inning wins Friday and Saturday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
The No. 2 Longhorns topped the Sooners 4-3 Friday and 5-4 Saturday, both in 10 innings, to move to 23-4 overall and 7-2 in SEC play. It was the first time in series history between the bitter rivals that there had been consecutive extra-inning games, and it was the first sweep of the Sooners since 2014.

On Saturday, Casey Borba played the hero with his only hit of the game. His single up the middle plated Adrian Rodriguez for the game-winning run, and came after Oklahoma walked the bases loaded.
Texas played from behind most of the game after the Sooners jumped out to a 3-0 lead after 2.5 innings. Carson Tinney smacked a 2-run home run in the third to draw the Longhorns within a run at 3-2, but a bases-loaded walk for the Sooners stretched their lead to 4-2 in the sixth.
Ethan Mendoza had an RBI single in the seventh, and then Rodriguez reached on a fielder’s choice to drive in Tinney to tie it at 4-4 in the eighth.
