Ysleta has gone a perfect 4-0 against Irvin recently and they’ll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Indians will face off against the Rockets at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Ysleta has four straight victories, Irvin has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you’re on the field.
On Friday, Ysleta got the win against Young Women’s STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy by a conclusive 17-10. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won eight contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Savannah Jurado made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and eight unearned) runs off seven hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Cienna Hernandez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Ivana Zuniga, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one double.
Ysleta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they’ve now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
Austin hit Irvin with a 12-run second inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Rockets came up short against the Panthers, falling 15-0.
The win got Ysleta back to even at 13-13. As for Irvin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.
Tuesday’s matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ysleta has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .484. However, it’s not like Irvin struggles in that department as they’ve averaged .511. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ysleta got the ‘W’ when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Irvin by a conclusive 17-0 score. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rockets turn the tables on them? We’ll have the answer soon enough.
