  • March 29, 2026

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Texas Tech pitcher Kaitlyn Terry continued her strong start to the season. Saturday, at the newly-renamed Tracy Sellers Field, formerly Rocky Johnson, the UCLA-transfer improved to 13-0 as the No. 2 Red Raiders (33-2, 10-1 Big 12) dominated Iowa State 10-2 in a game that ended after the fifth inning.

Terry pitched for all five innings, struck out three Cyclone batters, and only allowed four hits and two runs during her time on the mound. She also accounted for two runs.

The Red Raiders were off to a fast start after the first two innings when they were off to a 7-1 lead and were up 9-1 after three. Jasmyn Burns, Jackie Lis, and Desirae Spearman all led with two RBIs each. Florida-transfer Mia Williams had the strongest showing at the plate and was 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI- a solo home run which ended the game.

This was also the team’s eighth-consecutive win. Tech will go for the sweep Sunday afternoon. First pitch scheduled for 12 p.m.
