Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect warmer temperatures early in the week, with potential thunderstorms and severe weather later in the week.

Patricia Sanchez, National Weather Service meteorologist, said the week will start with warm, sunny weather through Tuesday, with temperatures in the mid to upper 80s. Rain and thunderstorm chances will continue Wednesday through Sunday.

“Quiet start to the week and more active end of the week,” Sanchez said.

Sanchez recommends checking the forecast for safety during the Easter weekend.
