Victims’ car crashes into building after South Side shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 critical

SAN ANTONIO — One man is dead and two others are in critical condition after a late-night shooting on the South Side.

Authorities responded around 9:30 p.m. to the 1700 block of Southeast Military Drive.

According to police on scene, the incident began as an argument between two groups in the 900 block of Southeast Military.

Both groups then drove off and the suspect vehicle followed the victim’s vehicle to the 130 block of Southwest Military, police said.

There, shots were fired from the suspect’s vehicle, striking all three male victims, between the ages of 20-30.

The victim’s vehicle attempted to self transport to the hospital but crashed into a building in the 1700 block of Southeast Military.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene while the other two were transported by EMS to a nearby hospital.

The suspect vehicle fled and police are not sure how many suspects were in the vehicle. No description was given.
