One person was killed and two children were injured in a crash on Interstate 35W, police say.

FORT WORTH, Texas — One person was killed and two children were injured in a single vehicle crash in Fort Worth, police say. 

According to authorities, officers were dispatched to the area of I-35 West and Westport Parkway just after midnight Monday. 

The adult female driver was found dead on scene. An infant and another young child were found in the vehicle and have been transported to the hospital with unknown injuries, officials say. 

The Fort Worth Police Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the accident.Â
