The temperatures are warming up, and with that, a rise in shootings across the Houston area.
On Sunday night, one person was killed and two others injured at a shooting at a Glena Park basketball court. As of early Monday morning there was no one in custody.
There were also two party shootings over the weekend. Six people were hurt at a house party shooting in Acres Homes. One person was detained. Between 5 and 7 people were injured at a birthday party celebration in Dickinson.
There was also a deadly shooting in Northwest Houston on Saturday. There were no witnesses to that incident, and no one is in custody.
And Houston police are investigating an incident where a man allegedly snatched a cellphone from a woman and fired a gun at her as she chased him. No one was hurt. The man is in custody.
