A woman was killed, and an infant and toddler were taken to a hospital Monday following an early morning crash in Fort Worth , police said.

Officers responded to the single-vehicle crash at 12:33 a.m. in the 13300 block of North Freeway, Fort Worth police said.

Police determined that a woman was driving a silver Buick when she swerved off the road and into a grassy median.

Police said the Buick then headed north through the grass to the bridge at Westport Parkway.

The Buick went over a wall on the parkway and onto the road below before crashing into a wall, police said.

The woman died at the scene, police said. An infant and toddler inside the vehicle were taken to a hospital.

Police could not immediately confirm their conditions or the relationship between the woman and the children.

Officials have yet to identify the woman.
