A man was stabbed and killed while grocery shopping Friday night in Garland, police say.
Officers responded to the Fiesta Mart in the 2900 block of South First Street shortly after 8 p.m. The 39-year-old victim, Franky Seleyma Arredondo Barrios, died later at a hospital from a stab wound, police said.
A suspect, identified as 32-year-old Juan Pedro Reyes, of Garland, turned himself in Saturday, police said. Reyes is being held at the Garland Detention Center. Bond has not been set.
Police said they are trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.

A 57-year-old man was arrested and faces an assault charge following the fight at the protest Saturday, police said.
The man was taken to a hospital where he died, police said.
