AUSTIN – The Housing Authority of the City is planning the redevelopment of the 7.7-acre Pathways at Santa Rita Courts site at 2300 E. Second St.

The project will demolish 16 buildings and renovate 10 historic buildings, increasing the unit count from 97 units across 26 buildings to 200 units.

Plans include a four-story, 96-unit, 125,007-sf apartment building and a four-story, 77-unit, 111,631-sf apartment building, along with renovation of 27 units within the historic structures.

The development will have 21 market-rate units, with the remaining units expected to be priced for individuals or households earning between 30 and 60 percent of the median family income.

The project will also have a 6,893-sf pre-kindergarten building.

The project will be developed in three phases.
