The scene of the incident (Houston Transtar)
A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle along the North Freeway near Greens Road late Monday evening, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 9:01 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the freeway.
Preliminary information indicates the pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway when they were hit by a passing vehicle.
Officials have not released a description of the vehicle involved, and it is unclear whether the driver remained at the scene.
No identifying information about the victim has been made available at this time.
