Student Government’s spring 2026 campus elections will continue from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, allowing students to vote for various positions.
Eligible students can vote in person in the art gallery or Room 106 of the University Center or online. In-person voters must bring their Mav ID card or QR code event pass available through the MavEngage app.
Election results will be announced during Party After the Polls on Tuesday in Brazos Park.
All incumbents will fulfill their terms until the end of the semester, with new and at-large candidates sworn in afterwards.
The following positions will be on the ballot.
Student Body president
The president serves as the representative leader of the Student Government. They oversee the day-to-day operations of the Executive Branch, including meetings with university administration.
Student Body vice president
The vice president serves as the second-in-command, fulfilling the duties of the president in their absence. They also chair the Assembly of College Council and oversee the Student Government training program.
Student senators
The student senators serve as representatives who listen to and address concerns within their respective colleges before bringing them to an administrative level. Student senators serve one-year or six-month terms.
Mr. and Ms. UTA
Mr. and Ms. UTA serve as the co-presidents of the UTA Ambassadors. They oversee the program, along with representing the university at campus and community events.
UTA Ambassadors
Led by Mr. and Ms. UTA, the ambassadors serve as the hosts and hostesses for the university, helping coordinate and represent UTA at events and fostering community engagement.
