The Dallas area has built a reputation for churning out some of the best basketball players in the country, and this year, North Texas boasts two McDonald’s All Americans.
Five-star Notre Dame signee Jacy Abii will represent Legion Prep in the girls game at 6 p.m CT, and four-star Texas signee Austin Goosby will represent Irving-based Dynamic Prep on Tuesday in the boys game at 7 p.m. CT at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Ariz.
The all-star basketball showcase, which highlights the best high school seniors in the country, will be broadcast on ESPN.
Abii, the state’s top girls basketball recruit in the Class of 2026, earned all-area Player of the Year honors from The News in 2024 after leading Frisco Liberty to back-to-back UIL state championships. Rated the ninth-best player in the nation by ESPN’s HoopGurlz, Abii transferred to North Texas-based Legion Prep after her sophomore season, when she averaged 20.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.1 blocks to help Liberty to its second straight Class 5A state title.
