Houston police are investigating an officer-involved shooting on the South Loop where a male suspect was shot and hospitalized. No officers were injured.

HOUSTON — Houston police are investigating an officer-involved shooting on Monday morning along the South Loop in southwest Houston.

According to a social media post from the Houston Police Department, the shooting happened in the 2400 block of South Loop West. Police said one male suspect was shot and has been taken to the hospital.

HPD said no officers were injured in the incident.

Commanders and public information officers are en route to the scene, and police said more information will be released once they arrive and gather additional details.
