Mixed-use development and retail center Watters Creek Village in Allen is under new ownership.
Dallas-based investment company Gillon Property Group and Town Lane, a New York-based real estate investment manager, acquired the shopping center in early April, according to an April 1 news release.
Watters Creek Village is a 46-acre property located along US 75 that includes approximately 360,000 square feet of retail space and about 100,000 square feet of boutique office space, the release states. A Market Street grocery store anchors the shopping center.
The development includes green space; shops like Anthropologie, Barnes & Noble, Hiatus Spa and Pure Barre; and local restaurants, such as Vaqueros and Tutto Gustoso.
“Watters Creek Village is already a flagship destination in a thriving Allen submarket, and we believe its best days are still ahead,” Gillon Property Group CEO Drew Steffen said in the release. “Together with Town Lane, our focus is on patient, hands-on ownership—curating the right merchandising mix, elevating the public realm, and reinforcing Watters Creek Village as a long-term gathering place for all North Texans and visitors to the region.”
Visitors at the shopping center can expect to see signage and wayfinding upgrades as well as tenant upgrades, the release states.
