SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio woman is facing serious charges after investigators say she shared videos involving the sexual abuse of a young child through a social media app.

According to the police report, he case began in mid-March when the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a report from Snapchat about a user who allegedly sent multiple files containing suspected child sexual abuse material. The report was flagged as urgent, indicating a possible immediate risk to a child.

Investigators traced the account to 24-year-old Destinee Alexis Flores. Records tied the account to a phone number, email address and a home on Pleasanton Bluff on the South Side.

Authorities said the videos showed an adult woman and a very young child, believed to be between 1 and 3 years old. Investigators determined the same woman and child appeared in all of the reported videos.

Using account information, subpoenas and search warrants, investigators connected the social media account, phone records and internet activity to Flores. They also reviewed online profiles and photos that appeared to match details seen in the videos, according to the arrest report.

During surveillance of the home, investigators reported seeing Flores with a young child who matched the one described in the case.

Additional records, including phone and internet subscriber information, further linked the activity to the residence and to Flores, according to investigators.

Authorities have not released further details about the child but said the investigation remains ongoing.
