The finalists are in for the 2026 James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards, with one Oak Cliff chef listed.
Lucia’s Maggie Huff has been short-listed as a finalist for the Outstanding Pastry Chef or Baker category.
In recent years, Lucia was a finalist in the Outstanding Restaurant category in 2023, with Chef David Uygur named as a finalist in the Outstanding Chef category in 2024. The city has not produced a chef or restaurant winner for the James Beard awards in 25 years, according to The Dallas Morning News.
The winners will be announced June 15 at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
