SAN ANTONIO – A 31-year-old man was killed early Wednesday morning in a targeted East Side shooting that police say involved multiple weapons and at least 80 rounds fired.
The attack occurred just after 1 a.m. on Center Street between North Walters and North Gevers Streets. Investigators said the man was shot numerous times in both his upper and lower body.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses reported hearing the gunfire and saw a black sedan leaving the scene. Police said the man was likely targeted and that at least two different weapons were used, including a high-powered rifle. Officers recovered numerous shell casings at the scene.
The hail of bullets also struck two homes and a vehicle in the area. No arrests have been made so far.
