Malachi Daron Hayes died at 2:02 a.m. Thursday from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Hayes was shot in the parking lot of a convenience store in the 2100 block of East Abram Street, according to Arlington police. He was found unresponsive by officers after they responded to the shooting, police said.

He was taken to a hospital, where he died.

On Sunday, police did not immediately provide details to The Dallas Morning News on what led to the shooting, and if any arrests have been made.
