Two Frisco ISD educators are being recognized for their impact in and out of the classroom. Park Place Lexus Plano recently honored Cassidy Dorain and Katie Ryan as Frisco ISD’s Teachers of the Year, celebrating their contributions to students across the district.
Dorain, an elementary teacher at Scott Elementary School, was named Elementary Teacher of the Year, while Ryan, a teacher at Heritage High School, received Secondary Teacher of the Year honors.
A Recognition Beyond The Classroom
As part of the recognition, both teachers were given the opportunity to select a Lexus NX or ES to drive for the summer, along with a set of additional experiences and perks. Those included tickets to a Texas Rangers game with access to the Lexus Lounge, passes to the Dallas Arboretum and a collection of additional gifts and services.
The recognition is designed to highlight not only classroom performance, but the broader influence educators have on their students and communities.
Celebrating Impact Across Frisco ISD
In an official statement, Chris Brunner, general manager of Park Place Lexus Plano, emphasized the lasting influence both teachers have made.
“Ms. Dorain and Ms. Ryan set a powerful example of excellence in action,” he said. “Their impact reaches far beyond this school year, and it’s a privilege to honor the difference they make every day.”
The recognition also reflects a broader effort to spotlight educators who continue to shape student experiences across one of North Texas’ fastest-growing school districts. Programs like this continue to highlight the role local businesses play in supporting education across the region.
As Frisco ISD continues to grow alongside North Texas, recognitions like Teacher of the Year offer a moment to celebrate the individuals behind that progress — those working daily to inspire and guide the next generation.
