SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Division of Emergency Management will conduct a statewide public warning system drill on Thursday morning.
Between 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. CDT, residents across Texas may receive emergency alert text messages on their phones, see alerts on local television or radio, or hear outdoor warning sirens. No action is required.
Officials will be testing whether alert systems are functioning properly and identifying areas for improvement.
The City of San Antonio encouraged residents to use the drill as a reminder to create or update a personal or family disaster plan.
