Austin-based Pinthouse Pizza opens first San Antonio location this week

Originally born in Austin, this brewing company opened a new restaurant in North San Antonio, serving up specialty pizzas and craft brews.

Local Tex-Mex chain opens 16th SA-area location

Tia’s Taco Hut serves up traditional San Antonio-style Tex-Mex, from all-day breakfast tacos and burritos to parrilladas and enchilada plates, according to the menu. This new location is the seventh in North San Antonio.

Pittsburgh-based chain MilkShake Factory coming soon to North San Antonio

The East Coast-headquartered chain is planning to enter the San Antonio market with a new restaurant. On the menu is a variety of specialty, gourmet milkshakes and ice cream-based dessert items.

Chick-fil-A—located inside The Forum at Olympia Parkway shopping center—has plans to relocate into a new, ground-up restaurant later this year, company officials confirmed in an email to Community Impact. It will remain within the same shopping center.

Food fests

Ninth annual Big Texas Fun Crawfish Boil

The yearly food fest features fresh seafood vendors, carnival rides, live music, games and more along with an egg hunt. Parking is $10 per vehicle.
