March saw the end of the road for several local eateries and numerous national chains that scaled back or pulled out of San Antonio. Let’s take a look back at the restaurants we lost in March 2026. 

Similar to Fatburger, Round Table Pizza has been slowly scaling back the number of locations in San Antonio. In fact, both chains are a part of Fat Brands, a parent company that recently dealt with bankruptcy and leadership shifts. The Round Table location that was supposed to be on TPC Parkway never opened for business and is now available for sublease.

Utah-based Beans & Brews Coffee opened at least four locations in San Antonio over the past few years, but as of March 2026, none of them remain in operation.

After just six months, Mambo Seafood shuttered its location in the Las Palmas neighborhood. Two Mambo Seafood locations remain, one at Brooks City Base and the other at Medical Center.

It wasn’t all sad for San Antonio’s dining scene, as several food and drink spaces opened up last month, giving us a reprieve from all the restaurant closures.

Notable March openings included:
