Three eaglets recently hatched at White Rock Lake, making beloved White Rock Lake eagles parents.

DALLAS — A beloved eagle couple that nests on White Rock Lake recently celebrated three new additions to their family.

Dallas resident Franz Crystal captured an image of three eaglets in the nest of two eagles who have made a home at White Rock Lake for the last several years.

In 2024, the eagles, named Nick and Nora by White Rock Lake locals, previously hatched two babies in March. In May, their nest was destroyed in a storm, killing two eaglets.

The eagles have been spotted near the lake since 2020, WFAA previously reported. The eagles were also displaced in 2022 when their nest, which was holding eggs at the time, was knocked down due to wind.Â
