With just 70 days until the 2026 FIFA World Cup arrives in North Texas, organizers are set to unveil a long-awaited transportation plan Thursday addressing how thousands of fans will move across the region.
Transportation has been a major concern, particularly as several North Texas cities have weighed pulling out of Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART).
An influx of international visitors, many of whom rely on public transit, is expected, raising questions about accessibility, navigation and potential language barriers.
FIFA organizers say a comprehensive transportation plan is in place and ready to be shared.
They say the plan was developed in coordination with the North Central Texas Council of Governments’ transportation department.
At 10 a.m. Thursday, leaders with the FIFA World Cup 2026 Organizing Committee will outline key details, including how visitors can use the region’s integrated transportation network.
Topics expected to be covered include:
Travel into the North Texas region for fans and spectators
The location of the FIFA Fan Festival Dallasâ„¢ and how to get there
Transportation options to and from matches at AT&T Stadium in Arlington
