Shiceria Polk died of blunt force injuries at 12:40 a.m. at the scene, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
Fort Worth officers responded to the crash about 12:33 a.m. in the 13300 block of North Freeway, according to a previous statement.
Police determined Polk was driving a silver Buick when she swerved off the road and through a grassy median to the bridge at Westport Parkway.
The Buick went over a wall on the parkway and onto the road below before crashing into another wall, the statement said.
The infant and toddler inside her vehicle were taken to a hospital.
Police did not publicly confirm their conditions or the relationship between the Polk and the children.
