SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (KFOX14/CBS4) — A popular Holy Week tradition will bring hikers to Mt. Cristo Rey in Sunland Park on Friday for the annual Good Friday Hike.
The public is invited to take part in the hike, which begins at 7 a.m. Gates will close at 3 p.m., and security will be provided.
Organizers said there is no scheduled Mass on Good Friday at the site.
The public is encouraged to make a donation to help with maintenance and upkeep of the trail and monument.
No pets, runners or bicyclists are allowed on the trail that day.
