Fort Worth officials are investigating a deadly plane crash that killed two people on Sunday afternoon.

According to a video recorded at the crash scene, a plane crashed nose-first into multiple parked tractor-trailers and caught fire at about 1:30 p.m.

Fort Worth Fire Department officials said two people were inside the twin-engine plane, a twin-engine Beechcraft King Air C-90, when it crashed.

Witnesses heard the crash, then came out and saw the scene of a fiery small plane crash into a parking lot where multiple tractor-trailers were parked off North Saginaw Boulevard. People on the ground rushed to try to provide aid, but the two people inside did not survive.

Fire officials were seen battling the fire that spread to the tractor-trailers.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said traffic was closed Sunday along Business U.S. Highway 287/N. Saginaw Boulevard between Tinsley Lane and Cattle Bend Road.

The FAA is investigating the crash; a preliminary cause has not been confirmed. The victims’ identities have not been released at this time.
