Saturday brings the highest concern for more widespread storms. Some could be strong with heavy rain, gusty winds, and even localized flooding, especially later in the day and possibly overnight into very early Sunday.

HOUSTON – Friday could be a soggy day for some across the Houston area as spotty rain and storms will be possible.

Warm, humid air remains in place across Southeast Texas making it feel almost like early summer. A few showers are possible Thursday night with spotty rain and a few storms possible Friday. Temperatures will again climb into the 80s with humid and breezy conditions & gusts near 25 miles per hour out of the south. 

FOX 26 STORM ALERT SATURDAY

Saturday brings the highest concern for more widespread storms. Some could be strong with heavy rain, gusty winds, and even localized flooding, especially later in the day and possibly overnight into very early Sunday. Houston has been placed in a low one out of five risk for a few severe storms with damaging wind gusts and isolated large hail being the main threats. We are also in a low one out of four risk for street flooding as we go through Saturday evening and Saturday night.

RAIN FOR EASTER MORNING, COOLER TEMPERATURES 

Showers and storms may linger into Easter Sunday, with the best chance early in the day. Expect muddy grass and wet roads with improving conditions possible later in the afternoon. Temperatures will take a noticeable dip as well, with highs in the afternoon going from the 80s to the 60s. Plan accordingly as you put your Easter outfits together and watch out for a few potential flooded streets.
