One person was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a reported explosion at a home in Taylor.
The Taylor Fire Department responded to reports of an explosion in the 1800 block of Grace Street just after 3 p.m., according to city spokesman Jerrod Kingery. When firefighters arrived, they found an injured person in the back yard who they believe was working on the house. They also found “evidence of some kind of explosion behind the residence.”
The person was airlifted to a hospital, but information about the severity of the person’s injuries was not immediately available.
It is not yet known what caused the explosion. The Fire Department will investigate the explosion with help from Taylor police. There are no signs of foul play, Kingery said.
