The Rock & Roll Hall of Famers will perform after the Texas Longhorns’ game against Vanderbilt. Austin’s own The Nightowls will perform before the game.
AUSTIN, Texas — The Texas Longhorns return home to Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium (DKR) this weekend after a month on the road. And along with the home game, football fans will also have the opportunity to see a group of legendary musicians perform.
The University of Texas at Austin announced Monday that Rock & Roll Hall of Famers The Beach Boys will perform at the LBJ Lawn following the Longhorns’ game against Vanderbilt on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Before the game kicks off at 11 a.m., fans can catch a performance by Austin’s own The Nightowls at 8:30 a.m. The Beach Boys will take the stage approximately 15 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
“The Beach Boys are true American trailblazers whose music continues to bring joy to audiences across generations,” said Chris Del Conte, UT’s vice president and athletics director. “Their timeless hits will make for an unforgettable day at LCL for Longhorn Nation as we once again celebrate live music on the Forty Acres.”
Food and beverages at Longhorn City Limits
As always, Tito’s Tailgate will be serving up Tito’s cocktails on tap for fans 21 years old and older. The bar also offers shaded views of the state performances and misting stations.
The Bulleit Frontier Lounge will offer a full menu of bourbon-focused drinks in front of the LBJ Fountain. The lounge also provides a shaded area for fans 21 and up.
And concert-goers can grab some grub from Pinkerton’s Barbecue, a Houston-based staple known for its brisket sandwiches, turkey and more.
When are the Longhorns’ other home games?
Longhorn City Limits performances happen before and after every home football game.
Following Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt, the Longhorns only have two remaining games at DKR: Nov. 22 vs. Arkansas and Nov. 28 vs. Texas A&M.
The performers for those weeks’ Longhorn City Limits concerts have not yet been announced.
