DEL RIO, Texas – A former Sabinal High School teacher and track coach has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to sending an undercover agent posing as a young teen sexually explicit messages while near the high school.
According to court documents, in October of 2024, Kenneth Mulkey, 44, used Snapchat to ask a user he believed to be a 14-year-old child for a sexually explicit photo. He was within 40 meters of Sabinal High School at the time the message was sent.

The next day, Maulkey sent a sexually explicit photo of himself to the young teen, who was an undercover agent posing as a minor.
He was arrested in January of 2025 for attempted enticement of a minor and sentenced to 30 years in prison.
