A 21-year-old man died after his electric bike collided with a pickup in Arlington, authorities said Monday.
Officers responded to the 2400 block of SW Green Oaks Boulevard at about 4:57 p.m. on Sunday, according to a news release from the Arlington Police Department.
Police learned that the rider had already been rushed to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said.
The bike rider has been identified as Tariq Muhammad, online records from the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office show. He died at about 7:58 p.m.

Police said the driver of the pickup involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. He is not facing any criminal charges, police said.
The pickup driver was exiting a parking lot to turn westbound onto SW Green Oaks Boulevard when the rider collided with the truck, according to authorities.
“The force of the impact caused the rider to be thrown from the bike,” the release said.
Police said the pickup driver, who was not injured, was not speeding or intoxicated at the time of the accident.
