It’s Friday at the 2026 Valero Texas Open.
The first round had a 90-minute rain delay to kick off play at TPC San Antonio’s Oaks Course on Thursday. Mark Hubbard paced the field early after an opening 7-under 65, and there’s a large chasing pack with plenty of notable names like Tony Finau, Tommy Fleetwood, Will Zalatoris and more.
The winner will take home 500 FedEx Cup points and $1.764 million. And if that’s not enough, they’ll get a trophy and cowboy boots at week’s end, too. An added bonus could be a Masters invite, if the winner on Sunday isn’t already in the field.
