Looking for a bargain on a new ride? The San Antonio Police Department is opening its next public vehicle auction, offering bidders a chance to score everything from everyday drivers to seized cars — all in one night.
The vehicle auction is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7, at the City of San Antonio Vehicle Impound Facility, 3625Â Growdon Road on the West Side, according to a San Antonio Police Department Facebook post.
Gates will open at 5 p.m. for vehicle viewing and bidder registration, with the auction set to begin at 6 p.m.
Officials say anyone interested in bidding must register before the sale starts. All vehicles purchased must be paid for the same day, with accepted payment methods limited to cash or credit card — American Express is not accepted.
Winners must also pick up their vehicles within the designated timeframe: Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., or Thursday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
SAPD encourages prospective buyers to review the full list of available vehicles ahead of time on the city’s website.
The auctions typically feature a range of seized or unclaimed vehicles and are open to the public.
