Miranda Lambert’s Texas Childhood Compound Finds a Buyer

Miranda Lambert has found a buyer for her sprawling Texas estate that encompassed both her childhood dwelling and the adjacent home she purchased after inking her first record deal.

Lambert, 42, and her parents, Beverly and Rick, listed the enormous 24.9-acre Lindale estate for $1.59 million on Feb. 7, nearly 30 years after the family purchased the primary residence on the parcel to serve as their main abode.

The singer and her family moved into the “big house” when Lambert was 14—and she lived there until the age of 21, when she moved into the adjacent “pink house,” which she purchased with the money she received from her very first major deal.

Now, nearly two months after the Lambert family decided to offload the dwelling, it has been snapped up by a lucky buyer; however, the price the anonymous buyer paid has yet to be revealed due to Texas being a non-disclosure state, which means that the final price is not public.

The family combined the two dwellings to form an impressive compound, which also includes “a metal warehouse, a shop with bathroom and living quarters, three RV hook-ups, open land suitable for a range of uses, and a designated 100 yard shooting range,” according to the listing, which was held by Lee Trowbridge of Compass.

Speaking to Mansion Global, Trowbridge explained the unique ownership. Beverly and Rick own the bulk of the property—including the primary residence, which served as their private home until last year—Miranda still owns the pink house that sits next to it.

“Until their transition out of the home about a year ago, the property served as the Lambert family home. During their time living there, the property was a home to many, including those who needed a helping hand or a place to land,” the listing agent explained.

The main house measures 4,643 square feet and has four bedrooms and five bathrooms.

The main residence and Lambert’s pink house are situated on the edge of a pond and offer stunning water views.

Lambert previously shared some words of encouragement to “American Idol” contestants after she lifted herself out of poverty and homelessness and rose to stardom while residing in a $3.5 million mansion.

The “Gunpowder and Lead” singer hit the singing competition’s stage for the show’s “Iconic Women”-themed night, showcasing her singing before offering advice to the budding pop stars.

She encouraged the singers to stay true to themselves as she opened up about how important support can be, and whom she spent her early years supporting.

“My ‘Idol’ memory is Carrie Underwood. Honestly, I remember watching her and voting [for] her, and thinking, ‘This gal’s going to go do some big stuff.’ And here we both are, 20 years later, still at it,” she said.

Similar to Underwood, Lambert’s rise to fame wasn’t easy, as it came after a difficult childhood that saw her being homeless at the age of 6.

She previously told “Good Morning America” that, while she was extremely loved as a kid, her living situation made her life troublesome.

“We were homeless. It sounds weird to say it now, because we’re so blessed,” she said.

Lambert revealed that she ended up without a place to call home when her parents began to struggle and fell behind on paying their bills.

“The next thing you know, the banker’s coming, saying, ‘I need the keys,'” she revealed. Her family moved in with relatives before finding an old house in Lindale, TX, to live.

Because the property was so worn down, the owner allowed the Lamberts to reside there if they fixed it.

“Two of the windows were boarded up, and we never did get central heating. So when you had to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, you had to run, because it was freezing,” she added.

She told the outlet that the experience made her family stronger.

“All that being said, it is a sad story, but it’s also a really happy story as it also built our family back,” she added. “It made us stronger than ever.”

It’s unclear whether the home that the singer was referring to is the property that is now on the market.

And Lambert confessed that her experience made her work harder to build a better life for herself.

Now, the country star has an impressive net worth of $60 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth, and resides in a sprawling Tennessee abode.

Lambert purchased the 400-acre retreat for $3.5 million in 2016. It includes horses, barns, and equestrian trails.

The property is the epitome of privacy as it is surrounded by lush landscaping, offering the star the perfect hideaway from the spotlight.

Although little is known about her current residence, Lambert—who tied the knot with former NYPD officer Brendan McLoughlin—once held the keys to another home in Nashville that was much more publicized.

Her former property, which she purchased for $1.75 million in 2015 and later sold for $2.59 million, was 5,800 square feet, with five bedrooms and five bathrooms.

The home was once the abode she and Blake Shelton—who took their Oklahoma pad—resided in before they divorced in 2015.
