SAN ANTONIO – A man shot to death earlier this week in a suspected East Side drive-by shooting has been identified.

According to the Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office, Justin Cline, 31, died of multiple gunshot wounds early Wednesday morning in the 1500 block of Center Street, which is located in between Gevers Street and Mittman Street.

Cline’s death has been ruled a homicide.

According to a San Antonio Police Department report on Wednesday, Cline was struck by gunfire “several times” on the upper and lower parts of his body. Witnesses told police they heard gunshots and saw a “black sedan leaving the scene.”

An SAPD homicide detective on scene also told KSAT at least 80 shots were fired in the “targeted attack.” Investigators also believe multiple shooters fired their weapons.

The shooters have not been located, police said on Wednesday.
