CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (KTRE) — Former Nacogdoches Dragon Cermodrick Bland had three hits in SFA’s 8-3 win over Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Thursday.
Bland, a sophomore batting ninth and starting in center field, was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run. Bland hit an RBI double in the sixth inning. Through 29 games this season, he has six doubles, 19 RBIs and a .269 batting average.
Reid Bowyer of Nacogdoches pitched two innings in relief, giving up one earned run on three hits while striking out two. Coby DeJesus of Diboll had an RBI single.
SFA (17-14, 8-5) is fourth in the Southland Conference. The Lumberjacks continue the conference series against Corpus Christi on Friday at 6 p.m.
