It’s not the first time Texas Longhorns coach Vic Schaefer and his star point guard Rori Harmon embraced on the basketball court. But Friday’s loss to UCLA might the last time they’ll do so with Harmon wearing burnt orange.

Texas fell in the Final Four for the second straight season, this time 51-44 to the UCLA Bruins. The loss means Harmon, a fifth-year senior who already had her career extended by added eligibility following injury, has played her last game for Texas.

Harmon is a Houston native who was one of Schaefer’s first recruit after he took the Texas job. The two chatted for a bit — with Harmon clearly emotional about the impending loss — before hugging. The program’s all-time leader in steals and assists finished her Texas career with eight points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals.
