A woman was arrested on Thursday in connection with the Patio Nightclub shooting on March 22 that killed one man and seriously injured another person.

Raleigh police charged 52-year-old Martha Jones with felony accessory after the fact.

Raleigh police added that an additional suspect was arrested in Houston, Texas in connection to this shooting Friday afternoon. Giovanny Hernandez-Jaramillo, 35, was arrested at a home in Houston.

He is charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill/inflicting serious injury.

Court documents indicate that Jones “[knew] that Giovanny Hernadez-Jaramillo aka Jeovanny Hernadez-Jarmillo had committed that felony, did knowingly assist that person in attempting to escape and in escaping detection, arrest, and punishment.”

The warrant also indicates that Jones gave him a new cell phone and money, and assisted Hernadez-Jarmillo in leaving the state. They have been in communication and Jones refuses to tell police his whereabouts.

Raleigh police did not provide additional details into Hernadez-Jaramillo’s arrest.

“The Raleigh Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to the U.S. Marshals and the FBI for their invaluable assistance in this investigation,” the department wrote. “In addition to FBI Houston, the Houston Police Department, the Houston Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) Fugitive Investigative Strike Team (FIST), and the USMS Gulf Coast Violent Offender Fugitive Task Force worked together to locate and apprehend Giovanny Hernandez-Jaramillo.”

Jones is being held at the Wake County Courthouse with no bond. Her next court date will be at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
