Major fatal accident leaves westbound lanes I-10 closed in Kendall County

KENDALL COUNTY, Texas – A major interstate highway has temporarily been shut down as crews respond to a fatal accident.

Around 4 p.m. on Monday, the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office announced that a major fatal accident led to the closure of all westbound lanes of I-10.

Traffic is being diverted through Exit 524. Officials say travelers should expect signifigant delays, or use alternate routes if possible.

“We ask everyone to drive carefully and avoid the area to allow first responders to work safely,” said the Sheriff’s Department in a statement.
