LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – It’s been a bit breezy today but generally a pleasant Saturday all around! Sunday is shaping up to be similar to Saturday, just without the big wind gusts that we saw for the first half of the day today.
TONIGHT
Temperatures will drop down to the pretty chilly range in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
It’ll be a chilly night as we drop down to around 40 degrees for most of the area, give or take a couple.(Dylan Smith)
Winds stay relaxed at around 5 to 15 mph.
SUNDAY (EASTER)
It’ll be about as pleasant as we can get for the Easter holiday! High temperatures will be balmy around 70 degrees with only a light breeze of around 10 to 20 mph expected.

NEXT WEEK’S WEATHER PATTERN
We’re really starting to delve into severe season here in the South Plains. We dodged most of the severe threat last night/Saturday morning but it’s shaping up to be a more active pattern in general over the next 7 days. We’ll get a few days break from widespread rain, as Tuesday looks to be our next best shot at a few isolated showers and storms.
A quiet weekend is leading to a bit more of an active forecast as we approach the middle of April next week/weekend(Dylan Smith)
Beyond that, late next week and into next weekend is when we’re eyeing some bigger chances of rain and storms for more of the South Plains.
