The National Weather Service is planning to survey damage from a reported tornado in East Texas on Saturday.

The weather service received reports of a tornado in Lindale, in East Texas. The weather service’s office in Shreveport is planning to survey the damage Monday.

No other information is available at the moment.

Much of North Texas has seen some rain in the early hours of Saturday, with cloud cover clearing up as the day progresses. The weather is expected to cool down in the region gradually, with overnight temperatures bottoming out in the upper 40s.

The showers and thunderstorms in the area brought the risk of localized flooding in certain areas, especially in low-lying and poorly drained areas. The weather service also received reports of wind gusts exceeding 50 mph in parts of Montague and Cooke counties earlier in the day.
