Bring out your umbrellas and rain boots for Easter Sunday. Rain showers and cooler temperatures are expected for Easter Sunday in San Antonio, along with highs in the 60s, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

There will be a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 4 p.m., in the San Antonio region. It will be cloudy, with a high near 68 degrees. The NWS also reports northeast winds around 15 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph. Showers are likely to continue throughout the evening, according to the NWS.

Due to the weather, Brackenridge Park Conservancy posted on Facebook about some changes for its Easter celebration. It’s 8 a.m. Easter Mass has been canceled. The park said it would make the decision on whether to move forward with the Easter Egg Hunt by 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Easter Egg Hunt is slated to start at noon.

“We’re grateful for your understanding as we prioritize safety and work around the weather to keep this community tradition going,” Brackenridge Park Conservancy stated in its post.

SeaWorld San Antonio also announced it would close Aquatica on Sunday, April 5, due to inclement weather. The theme park announced on Saturday, April 4, that the waterpark will reopen to guests at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 6.

“We hope you enjoy your Easter weekend and look forward to welcoming you back to the waterpark on Monday, April 6,” the park wrote in its post on Facebook.

There will be a 30 percent chance of showers before 7 a.m. on Monday. It will be partly sunny, with a high near 72 degrees, according to the NWS.
